On January 24, 2013, the JAAJ presented a benefit performance of Basil Dawkins’ play “Dangerous Ambitions”, directed by the multi-award winning Douglas Prout. This enthralling ‘dramedy’ was staged in order to raise funds for the JAAJ’s numerous community outreach initiatives.
Annual Benefit Fund Raiser - April 28, 2011
The Alumni's National Executive held its first fund raiser for the 2011/2012 adminstrative year. This was done with the staging of the Basil Dawkin's production, "A state of Affair" held at the Little Little Theatre in Kingston, Jamaica.
2011/2012 Alumni President Mark Barnett made the presentation of a cheque valued at $25000 to Ms. Marilyn McKoy of the Jamaica Association for Intellecutal Disabilities. Some 20 Alumni Members attended the event. President Mark in his address after intermission thanked the patrons and members for suporting the benefit performance and indicated how delighted he was at the turn out.
